About Department
Is a scientific-teaching and research organisational unit within the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb. It delivers undergraduate and graduate aeronautics study programmes and conducts research in the field of aeronautics.
The Department was established in 1992, following the introduction of the Aeronautics study programmes, and has since continuously developed its educational and research activities in aeronautics.
Department of Aeronautics closely cooperates with specially established Faculty units (HUSK and HZNS) that are authorised by the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency to conduct professional training of professional (civil) pilots and air traffic controllers. All members of the Department’s staff are also certified instructors in these units.
An exceptional contribution to the development of study programmes and the delivery of teaching in aeronautics, and thus to the development of new aviation professionals, has also been made by all external associates who have cooperated with the Department since its establishment to the present day.
