Croatian Air Traffic Control Training Centre (HUSK)

The Croatian Air Traffic Control Training Centre (HUSK) operates as an approved air traffic controller training organisation within the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb.

HUSK provides training in accordance with applicable European and national civil aviation regulations, as well as ICAO and EUROCONTROL standards.

HUSK holds a valid certificate as an approved air traffic controller training organisation, issued by the competent national authority – the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency.

Certification and Training Outcomes-Upon successful completion of training, participants are issued official certificates confirming completion of the relevant training programme, in accordance with approved curricula and applicable regulations.

Types of training provided

Basic Air Traffic Controller Training (Basic ATCO Training)

HUSK provides basic training as part of the initial training of air traffic controllers through three different training plans and programmes:

  1. Basic ATCO Training – Undergraduate Study Programme
  2. Basic ATCO Training – Conversion Programme
  3. Basic ATCO Training – Training Course
 
Basic ATCO Training – Undergraduate Study Programme

The training programme is integrated into an undergraduate university study programme. It forms part of the regular teaching process of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences

Admission procedure:Admission is carried out through enrolment in the undergraduate study programme. In accordance with the rules and procedures of the University and the Faculty.There is no separate course enrolment through HUSK

Basic ATCO Training – Conversion Programme

A separate basic training plan and programme intended for candidates who already possess relevant prior education or qualifications.

Admission procedure: Based on compliance with entry requirements subject to approval by HUSK. Conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and approved training programmes

Basic ATCO Training – Training Course

A standalone basic training programme ,not integrated into a university study programme

Admission procedure: Candidates are admitted in accordance with entry requirements. In line with the approved training plan and programme. Subject to meeting medical, professional, and other regulatory requirements

Synthetic Training Device Instructor Training (STDI)

A separate and independent training programme. Not part of the Basic ATCO Training

Admission procedure: Intended for candidates who already meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Conducted according to organisational needs. Requires prior qualifications and professional experience
