On 20 November 2025, representatives of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), accompanied by inspectors from the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency (CCAA), carried out an inspection visit to HUSK as part of the regular EASA Standardisation Audit. The objective of the visit was to assess the compliance of the Air Traffic Controller Training Organisation (ATCOTO) with the requirements of EU Regulation 2015/340.
The audit placed particular emphasis on:
- instructor competence and qualification maintenance,
- the structure, content and delivery of basic ATC training,
- the implementation of the integrated training model within the undergraduate Aeronautics study programme, ATM module with ATC specialisation,
- documentation, training records and quality assurance processes.
HUSK was represented by:
- Prof. Biljana Juričić, Head of Training
- Assoc. Prof. Anita Domitrović, Quality and Safety Manager
- Zoran Jakšić, STDI Instructor and Assessor
During the audit, HUSK presented detailed documentation, training syllabi, records, instructor competency files, and examples of practical training delivery. The EASA inspection team reviewed both organisational procedures and their practical implementation.
The inspection was completed successfully.
All documentation provided by HUSK were accepted without remarks by the EASA inspectors, confirming that the training organisation operates in line with the applicable EU regulatory framework and maintains the required level of training quality and safety.
This positive result further strengthens HUSK’s position as a recognised ATC training provider within the European aviation training system and supports the continued development of the integrated ATCO education model.
