At this year’s TRANSCODE conference, sessions will be held across thematic halls. Hall MARKET I will focus on Smart, Safe and Sustainable Aviation. Several presentations at this year will focus on important developments in aviation, including data management, environmental sustainability, and surveillance system security. Among the contributors is assoc. prof. dr. sc. Tomislav Radišić, who actively participates in research aimed at enhancing the reliability and resilience of modern air traffic management systems.

The program includes a range of innovative studies, from AI-driven error detection in aeronautical information to advanced methods for countering ADS-B signal spoofing, as well as research on environmental impact assessment, drone operations, and ground handling efficiency.

If you are unable to attend the conference in person, we recommend taking a closer look at some of the topics that will be presented. The following contributions provide valuable insights into current technological challenges and advancements in aviation.

AI for Error Detection in Aeronautical Information Management
This presentation will be delivered by Javier Alberto Pérez Castán, Ana Pastor Bataller, Luis Pérez Sanz, Cristina Bárcena Martín, Javier Fenoll Rejas and Marta Hernández Muñoz.

This session examines how artificial intelligence can support the detection of errors during the preparation of aeronautical information products. With the continuous growth of digital aviation data, AI tools offer new possibilities for identifying inconsistencies and improving overall data quality.

Countering ADS-B Spoofing Using TDoA Multilateration
This presentation will be deliverd by Tomo Bagarić, Zvonimir Rezo, Tomislav Radišić and Sanja Steiner.

The session focuses on challenges within ADS-B surveillance, particularly the growing risk of signal spoofing. The research team demonstrates how the Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) multilateration method can help detect irregular or falsified aircraft position broadcasts, contributing to more resilient air traffic surveillance systems.
